Over $8,000.00 worth of towels and blankets have been collected to date and we have been recognized by the Doris Day Animal League. Our current Director's Community Service Winner is Kimmie Roderick who collected over 400 towels lest year.
2009 Everyday Heroes Project
Take time out and visit your local fire department, police department, EMT dispatch center or hospital. Take cookies, cakes, pies, etc. with you. This is an effort to say "Thank You" to the unsung heroes who perform miracles everyday. Take along your camera and friends can go with you as well. You can personally bake the goodies or get your local Wal-Mart or grocer to donate the items. You can visit any local department at any time, but we do maje an extra effort during the week of 9/11.
Pop Your Tabs For Kids
This projects benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Children's Hospital. Doing this is simple, Advise the pageant office that you wish to participate in this project and you will be sent Pop Tab Boxes. Distribute them and start collecting pop tabs. You can place these boxes any where: your home, classrooms, offices, churches, etc. Last year the World Elite contestants collected over 23,000 pop tabs. Let's break that record!!!! Bring your pop tabs with you to pageant registration.
Soup Labels and Box Tops for the Lakota Children
This is another easy project. Simply save all of your Soup Labels and Box Tops for Education and encourage all of your family and friends to do the same. Bring what you have collected with you to the pageant registration. The pageant will send these to the Lakota Indian Children at the St. Jospeh's Indian School in South Dakota. Many of these children are orphans or have been abused. The labels and box tops help continue their education and keep our American heritage alive. PALIMAYA!!!
